Advances in technology and innovations have increased globalization. More than ever, knowledge exchange, skills transfer and shared research are on a rising trajectory.

Global learning is an essential framework that aims to build social cohesion, and collective action while promoting global citizenship through the auspices of Global Citizenship Education and Exchange programs.
At Kenya Organisation for Environmental Education, the promotion of Global Learning is achieved by equipping educators, communities, learners and professionals from different fields of action with the knowledge, tools, capacities, resources and engagement strategies they need to become ambassadors of sustainability and global citizenship and apply Global Citizenship Education (GCE) as both a school-wide agenda and in communities of practice.

Vijana na Afya Youth Exchange Program
‘Vijana na Afya, Let’s create a healthy world – Health and wellbeing at the Center of Youth work’ is the first joint international collaboration between the Kenya Organisation for Environmental Education and arche noVa e.V (Germany).
The project brought together fourteen participants (Seven from Kenya and seven from Germany) to enhance the awareness and understanding of young people on the topics of health, sustainable development and global citizenship in the context of youth work and intercultural competencies
Kenya Organisation for Environmental Education and arche noVa e.V, together with the project participants, have developed an online documentation highlighting the journey of ‘Vijana na Afya’. We hope that our story can have an impact on future exchange programs and Global learning initiatives.
